So you left your father’s day planning to the last minute… It happens!
At show HQ in the Viaduct we’ve been busy getting ready to celebrate the top guys in our lives and we’ve got a few ideas up our sleeves. If, like us, you’ve left your planning to the last minute here’s how to make dad’s day, whatever he’s into.
1. For the dad who wants to dock like a pro
Docking not really his thing? Dockmate allows him to wirelessly operate two motors, bow and stern thrusters, the anchor winch and even the horn, using just the tips of your fingers.
It also lets the skipper leave the helm station, with its often restricted view, and get a much closer look at the surroundings, while remaining in total control. This is especially useful in marinas and other tight quarters’ situations, enabling you to enjoy stress-free docking, regardless of the conditions. It’ll be on display with Lusty & Blundell and Tech at Stand KP100
2. For the dad who’d rather not spend his time applying antifoul, thanks very much
Easy to operate and with the capability to lift jetskis and both mono-hulled and multi-hulled boats from 14 feet to 40 feet in length, MarineScapes flotation devices and lifts are a clever solution to keeping your vessel in pristine condition. That means less time on antifoul, more time out enjoying the boat. They work in swing mooring environments, help you save thousands on maintenance and anti-fouling and up to 30% on fuel and are quick and simple to operate. View it in action on the water.
3. For the dad who’s a hoon on the waterways
King Watercraft’s agile 3.6 jet tender is small enough to fit in your boat shed but smart enough to take you up river for a spot of fishing, or give you and your guests a smooth ride from jetty to deck. Don’t be fooled by its size, the Yamaha engines will not disappoint when you put foot to floor. With compact hulls and bespoke jet units, it’ll carve a tight circle dockside, and keep a strong, straight line when the calm water entices the activities. See King Watercraft on the marina.
4. For the dad who’s ready to reward himself
The Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition is making its debut at this year’s show and has lashings of additional finishes and features that accentuate the world-class elegance of the 5400 Sport Yacht. If single level entertaining, al fresco dining, wet bar, impressive acceleration, a full beam master and large VIP stateroom, and exceptional finishes throughout sound like a bit of dad (and by extension you), you’ll need to pay a visit to Riviera on the marina.
5. For the dad who isn’t sure what he’s after yet
