Father’s day hot five
It’s two days until Father’s Day and at show HQ we’re gearing up to celebrate the best guys in our lives. If, like us, you’ve left your planning to the last minute we’ve got a few ideas that’ll make dad’s day, whatever he’s into.
1. For the dad who likes a bit of peace and quiet with his fishing
Our show will host the global launch of the new electric amphibious technology by Tectrax. The Kiwi-designed innovation is quiet, powerful and means there’s no messing about with trailers or boat ramps – perfect for the bloke keen on making single-handed launch and retrieval simple, fast and easy. See Trectrax on the marina and Te Wero Island at the show.
2. For the dad who likes to keep fit
Red Paddle Co’s inflatable stand up paddleboards are made by paddleboarders, and designed to make SUP-ing easier and more accessible. They come in a range of styles and types so whether dad’s never been on a board before, or he’s a bit of a living legend on one; they have the gear to see him gliding into summer. See Red Paddle Co. on stand 301 in Pavilion 3.
3. For the dad who’s coaching future America’s Cup sailors
RS Sailing NZ and O-Pro have teamed up to bring you everything you need for sailing development on one stand. Clever Kiwi invention O-Pro is an easy-to-use addition designed to extend the life of an Optimist to keep children in sailing for longer. RS Sailing dinghies are known the world over, with models like the RS Feva providing an international pathway to performance sailing. See them on Stand 223, Pavilion 2.
4. For the dad who’d like a Kiwi-built beaut to head into summer with
Scott Lane Boatbuilders 12.8-metre Kooringal is the team’s sixth Elite sedan and has been set up for both fishing and socialising. Featuring a built-in rod locker and live bait tank, basin with hot and cold-water shower, Weber BBQ area and stand, built-in freezer, outboard stowage and plenty of storage; we think introducing dad to this vessel could make for a very fun summer for the whole team…Talk to Scott Lane Boatbuilders about creating your own custom build at M22 on the marina.
5. For the dad who isn’t sure what he’s after yet
