With the countdown to the show now truly underway, a range of exciting new additions are set to join when it kicks off on March 23.
Sports Marine will bring a huge line up to this year’s show, including the biggest display ever of Princess Yachts seen in the country. It will include the New Zealand debut of striking Princess models the V55, V65, V40 and F55. Princess Yachts New Zealand & Fiji and Sports Marine are looking forward to the chance to invite show visitors to experience the exceptional and register for a private tour through the boats on display.
When the Princess V55 makes her New Zealand debut, show visitors will discover a striking all-new V55 with a sleek and dynamic exterior profile coupled with an intelligent use of space and all the exceptional performance qualities synonymous with the V Class range.
Her main deck has been purposely designed for those who enjoy true open-boating. The expansive cockpit features a large L-shaped seating area with additional seating aft around a substantial folding teak table served by a wetbar opposite with electric barbecue. This area connects to the salon via a drop down sliding door and opening window aft of the galley, seamlessly integrating the two living areas as required. Her main deck also boasts a large sunpad located aft of the cockpit and a further foredeck seating and sunbathing area. With a top speed of 37 knots, she promises to deliver a powerful V Class sports yacht experience.
Also making her debut, the V40 quintessentially showcases the sleek exterior, performance and exceptional seakeeping of the Princess V Class range. Her port light windows cascade across the length of her deep-V hull, flooding the salon and cabins with natural light. When entertaining, her spacious cockpit provides the perfect setting with the option to specify a convertible sunbed aft.
Below deck, her interior design depicts the modern V Class look throughout. Her spacious salon and well-equipped galley combine for a highly-sociable entertaining space, while both cabins exude contemporary style and generous proportions. The forward cabin has an en-suite bathroom with secondary access to the salon whilst the aft cabin can be fitted with optional sliding berths to provide easy conversion to a double bed when required.
Sports Marine will also present an exciting line up of additional brands, including rapidly growing yacht brand Nimbus, striking Saxdor, and Sea Ray’s Sundancer.
Nimbus is quickly gaining popularity in the New Zealand market, with the Swedish built quality and attention to detail, proving a popular formula in the local market. Sports Marine has added the Nimbus T11 to its Nimbus display at the Auckland Boat Show for 2023 after strong success in the Australian market with this model.
Saxdor is likewise quickly growing its reputation internationally, and is Europe’s fastest growing boat brand. Since its foundation in 2019, Saxdor has delivered over 500 vessels in its first year, while racking up several industry awards. A new brand to the New Zealand market, Saxdor is changing the way we think about boating with striking design and innovative features at a very competitive price. Saxdor will be making its New Zealand debut at the AOWBS 2023 with three models on display. The first two 320 series boat into the country will be shown alongside the extremely popular 200 series.
Sports Marine has been New Zealand’s sole Sea Ray dealer since 1985. With over 2,000 boats sold, it’s easy to see why Sea Ray is the preferred choice of American boats for Kiwi boaters. Sports Marine will be displaying a Sundancer 320 at the Auckland Boat Show in March 2023.
